Working at our Cincinnati Aviation Component Service Center:

Our ACSC facility develops and conducts a wide array of engine component repairs – including rotating parts, complex assemblies and nozzles on 29 different engine models.

Role Overview:

Inspect for adherence to technical orders, specification, checklists, processing methods, and accompanying paperwork. Learn and operate material handling and lifting devices, including ability to obtain forklift license as required. Verify conditions, quantity, and identity of parts before releasing from area. Will keep necessary records and perform related duties. Instruct and train others as required. Perform tasks to support the movement of hardware and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1 year experience using shop math, including fractions and decimals
  • 1 year experience interpreting engine manuals
  • 1 year experience with basic use of computers, applications, and keyboarding (e.g., email, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in inspection of aircraft hardware
  • 1 year experience operating various hand tools and basic machine tools and equipment
  • Ability to perform visual and mechanical inspection
  • Ability to use special gauges, air gauges, optical comparator, and length gauges
  • Some working knowledge of machine shop blueprints and engineering sketches
  • Possess analytical aptitude with methodical attention to detail
  • Demonstrate the use of basic precision measuring instruments including micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators
  • 1 year of experience in inventory control, material procurement, sourcing, materials forecasting, and cost analysis/costing support, partnering cross-functionally to ensure on-time material availability and cost-effective supply continuity.

Additional Information:

  • Wages $32.75 per hour plus 10% differential for 2nd or 3rd Shift
  • Role might require the tagging of parts (depending on department) and would be required to obtain a Repairman’s License
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds on occasion. Items more than 40 pounds will be lifted with assistance
  • Role requires operating material handling and lifting devices, including ability to obtain forklift license as required
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment and wear appropriate safety gear such as eye protection and safety shoes for extended periods of time
