Description
We are seeking an experienced Professional Engineer – Land Development to join our team and support the design, review, and management of commercial and residential development projects.
This role will involve a combination of technical engineering, project management, plan production, quality review, and client-focused design support.
The ideal candidate will be a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer with strong land development experience and, preferably, an established book of business or existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
The Professional Engineer will be responsible for:
- Providing professional and technical engineering support for land development projects
- Performing engineering design and technical review
- Managing and supporting plan production related to land development design
- Reviewing engineering plans and related documents for quality assurance
- Providing value-oriented design recommendations to improve project outcomes
- Managing commercial and residential development projects
- Supporting construction and final site plan preparation
- Preparing plans for review and approval by local governmental agencies
- Coordinating engineering activities across multiple disciplines as required
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in land development projects
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD 2014 / Civil 3D
- Experience producing plans for:
- Water distribution systems
- Wastewater distribution systems
- Surface water management systems
- Drainage systems
- Roadways
- Other land development-related infrastructure
- Experience and proficiency with ICPR – Interconnected Pond Modeling
- Experience preparing construction and final site plans for review by local governmental agencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including:
- Outlook
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Valid Florida Driver's License
The ideal candidate is a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer with strong land development experience across commercial and/or residential projects.
