As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence in a residential setting.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by following post orders, communicating with site staff, and completing required activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, and/or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
