Solipsys, a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace/RTX, is an industry leader in the development of integrated C4I Network Centric Defense System solutions for both the Domestic and International DoD.

This is a part-time position located at our Fulton, MD site.

 

What You Will Do:

Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation (IV&V).

Work as a subject matter expert in the development of new mathematical algorithms for software products, specifically in the sensor integration, tracking and correlation areas.

Provide engineering expertise in the area of complex mathematics, design analysis, modeling and simulation, system performance testing.

Serve as a mentor to junior systems analysts

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Experience as a Systems Analyst/System Engineer in the Aerospace and Defense industry
• Working knowledge of developing system models and simulations, and developing complex algorithmic solutions in a tool such as MATLAB
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7years of experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or other Engineering related discipline
• Experience with any of these systems: Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control systems.
• Experience with any of the following: radar sensor integration, track filtering and track management techniques and algorithms.
• Knowledge of Solipsys Multi Source Correlator Tracker (MSCT) design and deploymentUnderstanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and the Unified Modeling Language (UML).

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
