Position Summary

The Delivery Driver/Merchandiser is responsible for safely transporting and delivering products to assigned retail accounts while ensuring products are properly stocked, rotated, merchandised, and displayed according to M.K. Distributors' standards.

This position combines delivery and merchandising responsibilities and requires an individual who is dependable, safety-conscious, organized, physically capable, and committed to providing excellent customer service. The employee will work directly with retail accounts and is expected to maintain a professional and positive image of M.K. Distributors at all times.

General Expectations

The Delivery Driver/Merchandiser represents M.K. Distributors while working in retail accounts throughout the assigned Magnolia territory. Safety, reliability, customer service, product presentation, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company standards are essential components of this position.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned company vehicles and equipment.      
• Load, transport, and deliver products to assigned      retail accounts accurately and efficiently. 
• Manage truck inventory and complete required daily      inventory reconciliation. 
• Collect and reconcile payments from retail accounts      when applicable. 
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products in designated      coolers, shelves, and displays. 
• Rotate inventory to maintain product freshness and help      prevent out-of-stocks between deliveries. 
• Maintain existing displays and assist in building new      displays that are organized, properly priced, visually appealing, and      compliant with company and supplier standards. 
• Ensure products are merchandised according to product      specifications and company guidelines. 
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with      retailers, coworkers, and customers. 
• Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment in      good working condition and promptly report any issues. 
• Participate in weekend pull-up rotations as required. 
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all      times. 
• Complete all required company and safety training      successfully and in a timely manner. 
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures,      applicable laws, and regulations. 
• Perform other delivery, merchandising, and      route-related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older. 
• Valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable      driving record. 
• Must be insurable by M.K. Distributors' commercial      insurance carrier. 
• CDL preferred but not required. 
• Successful completion of all required DOT testing,      including drug testing, when applicable. 
• Basic math and legible writing skills. 
• Strong verbal communication and customer service      skills. 
• Dependable, reliable, and accountable for completing      assigned duties. 
• Ability to work independently and manage an assigned      route efficiently. 
• Ability to create and maintain organized, attractive      product displays. 
• Ability to successfully perform the essential physical      functions of the position, including any required job simulation testing. 

Physical Requirements

• Routinely lift and move products weighing approximately      25–75 pounds. 
• Regularly bend, stoop, reach, climb, push, pull, and      perform other physical movements necessary for delivery and merchandising.      
• Work inside retail accounts, stockrooms, and coolers. 
• Frequent exposure to cold temperatures while stocking      and rotating products in coolers. 
• Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions during      deliveries. 
• Ability to safely move products using hand trucks,      carts, and other delivery equipment.
