Description
Position Type: Full-Time
- Monday: 9:00am – 6:00pm.
- Tuesday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm.
- Friday: 8:00am – 1:30pm.
- Hourly Rate: $28–$38/hour, based on experience.
- Annualized Compensation: Approximately $58,240–$79,040/year based on a 40-hour work week.
- Perform expanded function dental assisting duties within the scope permitted by Pennsylvania law.
- Place and finish restorative materials as permitted by EFDA certification.
- Assist doctors during restorative and other dental procedures.
- Prepare operatories, instruments, materials, and equipment for treatment.
- Take diagnostic dental radiographs as permitted.
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation.
- Review and update patient medical histories.
- Provide patients with appropriate pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain sterilization, infection control, and OSHA compliance.
- Turn over and prepare treatment rooms to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Monitor clinical supplies and assist with inventory management.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff.
- Support the clinical team wherever needed to maintain an efficient and positive environment.
- Active Pennsylvania Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) credential.
- Dental radiology certification as required by Pennsylvania.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of restorative procedures and clinical workflows.
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Excellent communication, organization, and patient service skills.
