A Snapshot
As Testing Analyst at AirTrunk, you will report to Practice Lead, Testing and Technical Change Management based in Australia, you will support hyperscale data centre technology operations across APAC and the Middle East, ensuring disciplined, safe and reliable software delivery across cloud, on premise and data centre technology environments.
Your Day to Day
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop, execute, and automate test scripts for various projects, contributing to an accelerated delivery lifecycle (including API regression where applicable).
- Conduct testing across different stages of the software lifecycle, including integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Work alongside the platform team to ensure the availability of the test environment and assist in the creation of test data to support testing activities at all stages.
- Coordinate and support teams in implementing the testing framework throughout the organization.
- Plan and execute API testing (REST/JSON) across internal projects, validating functional behaviour, error handling, and data integrity.
- Create and maintain API test collections/suites (e.g., Postman) and contribute to automated API regression in CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate API contracts and integrations between systems (including authentication/authorisation flows), and support defect triage with clear evidence (requests/responses, logs, traces).
- Partner with developers and product stakeholders to define testable acceptance criteria and ensure appropriate test coverage for API changes.
- Monitor and report quality metrics for releases (defect trends, regression results), identifying opportunities to improve test strategy and tooling.
- Perform quality checks on change records and enforce minimum standards.
- Proven experience working with JIRA for defect management, test case creation and test execution tracking.
- Hands-on experience using XRAY (or equivalent) as a test management tool, including test planning, execution, reporting and traceability.
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud platforms, including experience testing applications hosted in Azure-based environments.
Requirements
Essential
- Hands-on experience testing APIs (REST/JSON) using tools such as Postman/Swagger, with exposure to API automation frameworks considered a plus.
- Experience working across multi-site, multi jurisdiction technology environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to apply process discipline in complex, high availability environments.
Highly Regarded
- Strong understanding of physical and virtual infrastructure including compute, network and storage.
- Knowledge of ISTQB principles. Certification is advantageous but not required.
- Knowledge of ITIL v3 or v4 principles. Certification is advantageous but not required.
- Experience in cloud operations, data centre operations, or service management.
- Exposure to large scale infrastructure upgrades, migrations or modernisation programs.
- Experience working with enterprise / corporate SaaS applications such as NetSuite, BambooHR, or similar business systems.
- Exposure to testing integrations between enterprise applications and downstream platforms via APIs or batch interfaces.
