A Day in the Life

This position reports to the Innovation Enablement Leader and is responsible for supporting and executing audiovisual(AV) and technical production activities in an onsite working environment, including AV support, event production, webinar support, and video production.

The Audiovisual Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support for internal and external events, conferences, webinars, and hybrid programs through effective audiovisual and digital event solutions. This role oversees technical production, AV equipment management, live event support, video recording and editing, and coordination with vendors to ensure seamless event delivery and an exceptional participant experience.

The position requires strong expertise in AV technology, event production, technical operations, video production, and vendor management, along with the ability to support digital and hybrid event platforms. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Audiovisual Specialist ensures technical solutions are delivered efficiently, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives while providing reporting and insights to support continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Resolves technical problems that originate with AV systems. May work with technical, sales, customer service or marketing staff to resolve recurring problems and issues with products.
• Provides technical support to users for either PC, server or mainframe applications and hardware.
• Answers questions regarding system procedures, on-line transactions, systems status and downtime procedures.
• Interacts with network services, software systems engineering and/or applications development in order to restore service and/or identify problems.
• Maintains a troubleshooting tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems.
• Recommends systems modifications in order to reduce user problems.
• Function Specific: Ability to use a variety of end user support processes deployed by Medtronic such IT Service Management (ServiceNow), Communication and Collobration (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom) to resolve technical issues.
• Technology: Understanding of an end user's experience and challenges using the technology and service.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge on IT services and solutions that customers use.

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in audiovisual (AV) operations, technical event production, IT support, multimedia production, or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, video conferencing platforms, webcast solutions, and digital event technologies.
• Experience supporting live, virtual, hybrid events, webinars, or technical production environments.
• Experience managing vendors and external service providers.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Budget awareness and experience supporting cost-effective operational delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration technologies.
• Business level of proficiency in English, including verbal and written communication.
• Ability to support regional stakeholders and webinars across Asia.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale hybrid, virtual, or webcast-enabled events.
• Experience with video production, video recording, post-production, and video editing.
• Experience using professional AV equipment, streaming platforms, and multimedia production tools.
• Knowledge of digital event platforms and webinar management solutions.
• Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting for collaboration technologies.
• Experience working in a multinational or regional environment supporting cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
• Strong analytical skills with experience preparing operational reports and performance metrics.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices in AV operations and technical event production.
