Position Overview
The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring proper execution of work as per approved drawings and specifications. This role requires hands-on site management experience with comprehensive knowledge of building construction sequences and processes in commercial real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution & Management
Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities
Ensure work execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines
Monitor construction progress and maintain project schedules
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and labor teams
Implement construction methodologies and best practices
Ensure proper sequencing of construction activities
Technical Supervision
Execute complete building construction sequence from foundation to finishing
Oversee RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) works including:Foundation design and executionColumn, beam, and slab constructionQuality control of concrete mixing, pouring, and curing
Supervise structural work, masonry, and finishing activities
Monitor MEP coordination and installation activities
Planning & Coordination
Prepare and verify Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for all structural elements
Calculate material requirements and coordinate procurement
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and work schedules
Coordinate with design team for technical clarifications
Manage resource allocation and workforce deployment
Quality & Safety Management
Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
Implement safety protocols and maintain site safety standards
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks
Coordinate with quality control teams and consultants
Maintain construction documentation and records
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering OR Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized institution
8-10 years of progressive site engineering experience in building construction
Proven track record in managing large-scale commercial/residential projects
Hands-on experience in complete project lifecycle management
Technical Expertise
Essential Knowledge Areas
Comprehensive BBS (Bar Bending Schedule) knowledge:Steel reinforcement calculationsCutting lengths and bending detailsMaterial optimization and waste control
Complete RCC knowledge:Concrete mix design and proportioningReinforcement detailing and placementConcreting procedures and quality controlFormwork design and execution
Building construction sequence mastery:Site preparation and excavationFoundation works (pile, raft, isolated footings)Structural framework constructionMasonry and partition worksRoofing and waterproofingMEP rough-in and finishingArchitectural finishing works
Construction Knowledge
Deep understanding of construction materials and their applications
Knowledge of construction equipment and machinery
Understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering
Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
Knowledge of construction contracts and specifications
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and construction drawing interpretation
Knowledge of project management software
Understanding of quantity surveying and estimation
Familiarity with construction planning software (Primavera, MS Project)
Basic knowledge of surveying instruments and techniques

Working Conditions
Primary work location: Construction sites
Extended hours including weekends during critical construction phases
Work in various weather conditions with appropriate safety gear
Physical demands including site walking and climbing

May require travel between multiple project sites
