Description
Industrial Machine Builder
The Role: Industrial Machine Builder
As an Industrial Machine Builder, you are a skilled, multi-disciplined machine builder and industrial technician entrusted with building, assembling, troubleshooting, modifying, and improving specialized equipment, machinery, products, and systems. You combine electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, automation, and fabrication knowledge to turn concepts, drawings, and materials into reliable, high-quality equipment and assemblies.
This role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, machine-building experience, practical problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and effectively across multiple trades. Fabrication and welding remain important components of the role, but the primary focus is supporting machine design, machine assembly, automation, troubleshooting, and equipment improvement initiatives.
You Are Not Just Taking a Job
At TSN, the Industrial Machine Builder role exists at the intersection of technical excellence, machine building, and manufacturing integrity. We believe this position is not simply about assembling equipment or operating machinery - it is about building, troubleshooting, improving, and stewarding industrial machines and systems with skill, safety, precision, and purpose.
We want to say this plainly and without exaggeration: Our commitment to glorify God through our work drives us to invest intentionally in every team member's professional, personal, and intellectual growth - with excellence and purpose. This is not because we promise comfort, but because we intentionally invest in people as whole individuals, honoring the inherent dignity and worth that every person brings to our workplace.
Who We Are (Why We Exist)
TSN’s leadership strives to honor God through the way we serve employees, customers, and the community. Our culture, leadership, and approach to manufacturing excellence are grounded in the conviction that every person is created in the image of God (Imago Dei) and therefore possesses intrinsic dignity, worth, reason, responsibility, and untapped potential. This belief shapes our commitment to treating every employee, customer, vendor, and community member with respect, humility, integrity, and excellence.
We are unapologetically a People First organization - not as a slogan, but as our operating system.
Our mission is to deliver high-quality, precision-built steel fabrication and manufacturing solutions through a vertically integrated production model while building a culture where people have the opportunity to grow and flourish personally, professionally, intellectually, and, where meaningful to them individually, spiritually, with excellence and joy - all for the glory of God and the good of those we serve.
Training, Development & Mastery
We do not place people into positions - we form professionals.
You will receive:
- Comprehensive safety and operations training
- Ongoing leadership coaching
- CPR/BLS certification support
- Annual continuing education and structured skill development
- Personal and professional mastery of People First principles
- Cross-training opportunities across electrical, mechanical, fabrication, automation, and machine-building disciplines.
We expect growth. We support it intentionally.
Who Thrives Here
This role is ideal for individuals who:
- Enjoy diagnosing, repairing, and improving complex machines and industrial systems.
- Possess broad mechanical and electrical aptitude developed through hands-on experience.
- Are comfortable working with motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, automation systems, and CNC equipment.
- Enjoy building and improving custom machinery from concept to completion.
- Think like a technician, machine builder, and problem solver.
- Care deeply about people, not just processes.
- Communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully.
- Take stewardship of safety, equipment, materials, time, and resources seriously.
- Embrace continuous learning and technical mastery.
- Desire to grow intellectually, personally, and professionally.
We are not looking for people who simply repair machines. We are looking for people who take ownership of improving them.
We are not looking for transactional workers. We are seeking stewards.
