Description
AltaML is an applied artificial intelligence company, building and deploying solutions for organizations where the problems are real and the stakes are high, across public sector, construction, energy, and finance.
We believe in making small bets, failing fast, and being better together. We are on the lookout for creative problem-solvers, out-of-the-box thinkers who strive to solve big problems alongside clients, and early tech adopters driven to achieve success.
We don't hire for fit; we hire to add. We are looking for people who play by our core values of being: Agile, Gritty, Humble, and Happy. If you're passionate about AI/ML, thrive in a dynamic environment, and want to work with a diverse team of wickedly smart people, we want to hear from you!
About the Role:
You own the technical product roadmap for our AltaForge platform: the decisions that shape what the platform costs, what it can do, and what every solution built on it inherits. The trade-offs between models, performance against cost, and what we can run for sovereign work. What becomes a shared library and what stays a one-off. How observability integrates into every solution. Ensuring we make the right technical decisions to scale our platform, serve our clients, and enable our business is your responsibility.
The work is proper technical discovery: research into the technical architecture of our products, done with the team, to make strong technical decisions that complement our platform, not only for today but for the future.
You take action. You vet technical products and frameworks yourself to validate they will work for us, and you validate by building: quick spikes with AI tools. You are expert at technical discovery with the team, turning what you find into the right product decision. You identify trends in agentic programming and use them to inform your product roadmap on what is needed.
Your decisions only work if the teams building on them are with you. Our own developers and engineers are part of your clients: you serve them, you learn from them, and through them you make sure the platform is built for our external clients.
This is also the seat closest to the agentic layer we are building over our own tools, where agents do the work and people sign off.
