What is the job?: As a Food Runner at Tatsu-Ya, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by efficiently transporting food and drinks from the kitchen to guests. Utilizing your strong communication skills and attention to detail, you will enhance guest satisfaction and support the overall flow of service.
- Communicate with managers to ensure the food runner station is well-prepped for daily covers, including all necessary supplies and equipment.
- Keep the food runner station clean and organized throughout the shift to facilitate efficient operations.
- Assist all staff members, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff, with setup tasks and ensure smooth coordination between different roles.
- Communicate with managers about any out of stock items and menu specials to ensure accurate order fulfillment and guest satisfaction. Update staff on menu changes and item availability.
- Ensure that all food being delivered to tables meets company standards for presentation and quality.
- Contribute to the dining room atmosphere by bussing tables, wiping down surfaces, and setting up tables to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Perform regular restroom checks to ensure cleanliness and restocking of supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. Sweep and mop as needed.
- Follow closing checklist procedures and check out with a manager before leaving to ensure all tasks are completed and the shift ends smoothly.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Valid food handlers and TABC certificates.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift 25-50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing and navigating the kitchen environment.
