Dietary Aide

Anam Care and Anam Glen, a dedicated assisted living and dementia care community in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our growing team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in providing nutritious, appealing meals while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and recipes
• Serve meals and beverages to residents in a timely, courteous, and respectful manner
• Assist with meal setup and ensure dining areas are properly prepared before meals
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and workspaces
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen items
• Properly store food and supplies and assist with inventory as needed
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Work cooperatively with dietary and care staff to meet the needs of our residents
• Provide friendly and compassionate service to residents during meal times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred; 1+ year of experience is a plus
• Food Sanitation Certificate required
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Compassionate and respectful approach when working with older adults
• Willingness and desire to learn new skills and procedures
• Ability to follow instructions and established food safety practices
