  • The role can be based out of our new Boston HUB location at 1001 Boylston Street Our hybrid working model is 3 days office/2 days home weekly. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the administration, governance, and compliance of The LEGO Group's retirement programs, including oversight of the 401(k) plan, partnership with Fidelity and external advisors, chairing retirement committee activities, and ensuring adherence to fiduciary and regulatory requirements. 

  • Own the strategy, design, and delivery of fringe benefits and wellness programs, including commuter benefits, wellness reimbursements, fitness programs, employee perks, and other offerings that enhance the employee experience and reflect The LEGO Group's culture and values. 

  • Lead key benefits initiatives and projects, including retirement plan integrations, vendor transitions, and program enhancements. Evaluate market trends and benchmark peer organizations to identify opportunities to introduce innovative, competitive, and sustainable benefits solutions. 

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants, including Fidelity, Willis Towers Watson, and other service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong partnership, cost effectiveness, and an exceptional employee experience. 

  • Develop, implement, and administer benefits programs across the United States, Canada, and Brazil, while identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance program effectiveness. 

  • Partner closely with Business Service Operations (BSO), People Operations, Employee Relations, Compliance, and Leave & Accommodations teams to deliver consistent, employee-centric support and continuously improve benefits-related processes and experiences. 

  • Support annual Open Enrollment activities during Workday and lead benefits of communications throughout the year. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create engaging and effective communication strategies that increase employee awareness, understanding, and utilization of benefits programs. 

  • Conduct on going benefits of benchmarking a nd market analysis in partnership with the Global Rewards team to ensure programs remain competitive, inclusive, and aligned with business objectives and employee needs. 

  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, and other relevant benefits of laws, while maintaining strong governance and risk management practices.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Benefits Manager, Retirement & Wellbeing to lead the strategy, governance, and administration of our retirement, wellness, and employee benefits programs across the United States, Canada, and Brazil. 

This role will serve as the subject matter expert for our retirement programs, including oversight of our 401(k) plan, retirement committee activities, and vendor partnerships. In addition, you will shape and evolve our wellness, fringe benefits, and employee programs to ensure they remain competitive, inclusive, and aligned with The LEGO Group's values and culture. 

In this highly visible role, you will collaborate closely with People Partners, Global Rewards, Business Service Operations, and external partners while engaging employees at all levels of the organization. By combining strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong communication skills, you will help deliver a best-in-class employee experience for nearly 5,000 LEGO Group colleagues across the Americas. 

Do you have what it takes? 

  • Demonstrated experience leading the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs, including retirement plans, wellbeing initiatives, and employee-focused benefits offerings. 

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits and retirement regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, and 401(k) plan governance. Experience supporting benefits programs in Canada and/or Brazil is considered an asset. 

  • Experience managing relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers, including retirement plan recordkeepers, brokers, wellness partners, and benefits administrators. 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex benefits and retirement concepts into clear, engaging, and actionable communications for employees, leaders, and key stakeholders. 

  • Proven ability to build trusted partnerships and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization while working collaboratively across People & Culture, Operations, Finance, Legal, Communications, and external vendor teams. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience leveraging data, benchmarking, and market insights to evaluate programs, identify opportunities, and inform recommendations. 

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, drive complex initiatives, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 

  • Experience supporting retirement committee activities, fiduciary governance, compliance reviews, audits, retirement plan integrations, or other strategic retirement plan initiatives is highly valued. 

  • Experience working with Workday benefits administration and reporting, including supporting annual open enrollment activities and ongoing process enhancement. 

  • A detail-oriented and proactive mindset, with a passion for creating inclusive, employee-centric programs that support wellbeing and reinforce a positive workplace experience.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $120,830.00 - $181,246.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
