Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking a talented InterSystems IRIS Dataplatform Administrator/Engineer for a consultancy mission at a client site. This role is part of an ambitious digital and organizational transformation project, focusing on modernizing processes and enhancing operational support through data-driven services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, and optimize a critical InterSystems IRIS database environment with a strong emphasis on security, reliability, and continuity of police information systems.
  • Perform operational database management tasks including health-checks, monitoring, patch management, journaling, mirroring, and fail-over tests.
  • Engage in data modeling and integration, working with globals/SQL tables, business services, processes, and operations.
  • Optimize performance and scalability through index analysis, query tuning, ECP cache servers, and shard clusters.
  • Design, implement, test, and document necessary components while automating deployments via GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Ansible.
  • Support backend application development in Python and, if necessary, the implementation and configuration of other DBMS systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of InterSystems IRIS (or Caché/Ensemble), particularly ObjectScript and the Python API of IRIS.
  • Ability to design database solutions, configure journaling/mirroring/ECP/sharding, and manage the environment securely and efficiently.
  • Thorough understanding of operational database management, including daily health-checks, monitoring, patch management, and configuration of journaling and fail-over tests.
  • Experience in performance and scalability optimization, automation using GitLab CI/CD pipelines for IRIS containers, and deployment scripts with Ansible.

Soft Skills:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy, essential for managing critical police data.
  • Ability to work autonomously, propose solutions, and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Strong documentation skills for analyses, configurations, performance optimizations, and technical choices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with specialists and user representatives.
