Description
Junior Electronics Engineer
Responsible for the design, development, verification, and validation of electronic hardware systems for embedded products, ensuring performance, reliability, quality, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform circuit design, calculations, simulations, and technical analysis to ensure design integrity, functionality, and performance compliance with product requirements.
· Perform PCB layout design, including component placement, routing, and design optimization, while applying best practices for signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), thermal performance, power integrity, reliability, and manufacturability.
· Execute hardware verification and validation activities, including prototype bring-up, electrical measurements, functional testing, performance evaluation, reliability assessment, and compliance testing.
· Debug electronic hardware through fault isolation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions during development and production phases.
· Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, firmware/software engineering, industrial engineering, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems into products.
Educational Background:
· BS/MS in Electronics Engineering, or related courses.
Qualifications:
· Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, including component selection, datasheet interpretation, and basic power management concepts.
· Knowledge of microcontroller-based embedded systems, such as ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V, and other architectures.
· Knowledge of wired and wireless communication technologies for embedded systems, including UART, SPI, I²C/I3C, USB, Bluetooth, NFC, and other common interfaces.
· Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, such as KiCad, Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, and Siemens Xpedition/PADS Professional. Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout design is an advantage.
· Understanding of PCB design fundamentals, including signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, decoupling, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), design rules, and manufacturability considerations.
· Familiarity with electronic test and measurement equipment, including regulated power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory instruments.
· Knowledge of embedded software concepts, firmware development, and hardware-software debugging is an advantage.
· Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes, design-for-manufacturing (DFM), and engineering documentation practices is an advantage.
Skills/Core Competencies:
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken English.
· Aggressive in learning, strong problem solving, decision-making and troubleshooting skills
· Ability to work in a team operating across multiple sites
· Ability to plan and organize individual tasks and coordinate with the team lead or unit lead
· Ability to lead project items or individual tasks
