Description
We are working closely with a local authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Multi skilled operative, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £17.40- £23.98 per hour
Summary:
North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to deliver a high-quality reactive repairs and maintenance service across occupied social housing properties. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of trade repairs while ensuring excellent customer service, health and safety compliance, and high workmanship standards.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive repairs, maintenance, and improvement works across occupied social housing properties.
- Undertake a variety of trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, bricklaying, fencing, flooring, and groundworks.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while minimizing disruption to tenants.
- Comply with all health and safety legislation, safeguarding procedures, and council policies.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in a safe and serviceable condition.
Qualifications:
- Recognised qualification or apprenticeship in a relevant construction or building trade (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Health & Safety awareness within construction or housing maintenance environments.
Essentials:
- Minimum 3 years' proven trade experience within building maintenance or construction.
- Essential experience working within occupied social housing or residential maintenance environments.
- Previous experience completing void property refurbishments and property reinstatement works.
