CardiologyOverview:
Join Sentara Medical Group as an Advanced Practice Provider supporting our Electrophysiology Cardiology service line. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled, collaborative team of physicians and APPs while providing high quality care to adult EP patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is a surgical and procedural focused role with meaningful autonomy and a strong support structure.
Position Highlights
- Full time schedule, four ten hour days, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Inpatient and outpatient role with approximately 70 percent inpatient and 30 percent outpatient responsibilities - Average weekly patient volumes include 20 patients in the clinic and 50 patients in the hospital
- Electrophysiology focused care, including first assist responsibilities
- Procedures include cardioversions and loop implants performed independently, first assist in ablations, and performing access and closure independently
- Weekend rounding required every fifth weekend. Hours are Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Call requirements: phone based only with no in-house coverage (1 day every 3 weeks).
- Team consists of 9 physicians and 14 Advanced Practice Providers
- Position covers three Sentara locations: Sentara Careplex Hospital, the Port Warwick practice, and the Williamsburg practice

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $115,315.20 - $312,000.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
