Vertex is seeking an experienced MarTech Agile Delivery Leader to support roadmap planning, intake management, prioritization, governance, Agile delivery practices, and portfolio coordination across the Marketing Technology organization.
This role will partner closely with Platform Owners, Business Engagement Leads, business stakeholders, agencies, and technology teams to improve visibility into demand, platform roadmaps, team capacity, delivery priorities, and cross-platform dependencies across the MarTech ecosystem.
The successful candidate will help ensure MarTech platform roadmaps align with business priorities and key DTE/CMEA initiatives while supporting effective planning, prioritization, governance, and Agile ways of working across the organization.
This role focuses on portfolio planning, roadmap alignment, Agile delivery maturity, intake management, capacity planning, governance, and continuous improvement rather than day-to-day project execution

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Planning & Roadmap Management
- Maintain visibility across the MarTech portfolio, including planned work, roadmap commitments, team capacity, dependencies, and key milestones.
- Partner with Platform Owners and Business Engagement Leads to ensure platform roadmaps align with business priorities and DTE/CMEA strategic initiatives.
- Support annual planning, quarterly planning, roadmap reviews, and prioritization discussions.
- Help evaluate requests and initiatives based on business need, effort, dependencies, capacity, and roadmap alignment.
- Identify opportunities to improve coordination across platforms and reduce duplicate or overlapping work.
- Support development and maintenance of platform roadmaps and portfolio plans.
Intake, Demand Management & Prioritization
- Lead intake and demand management processes across the MarTech organization.
- Coordinate business and technical assessments with Platform Owners and stakeholders.
- Facilitate prioritization discussions and governance reviews.
- Ensure requests are evaluated consistently and transparently.
- Partner with stakeholders to align demand with roadmap priorities and available delivery capacity.
- Identify opportunities to standardize, reuse, and scale capabilities across platforms and teams.
- Continuously improve intake, intake review, and prioritization processes.
Agile Delivery Leadership
- Partner with Platform Owners and delivery teams to strengthen Agile and hybrid delivery practices across the MarTech portfolio.
- Support quarterly planning, release planning, sprint planning, backlog reviews, and prioritization activities.
- Maintain visibility into team capacity, delivery progress, dependencies, and key delivery metrics.
- Help identify delivery bottlenecks, planning challenges, and coordination opportunities across teams.
- Facilitate discussions around prioritization tradeoffs, dependency management, sequencing, and capacity planning.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts that improve predictability, planning effectiveness, and delivery outcomes.
- Promote consistent delivery practices that support both product-based and project-based work.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate governance forums, portfolio reviews, and planning discussions.
- Develop portfolio reporting, dashboards, metrics, and status summaries.
- Partner with Business Engagement Leads, stakeholders, and Platform Owners to align priorities and delivery plans.
- Support leadership with visibility into demand, roadmap commitments, dependencies, risks, and capacity considerations.
- Facilitate decision-making discussions and ensure actions are documented and tracked.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Improve portfolio management, planning, governance, intake, and prioritization practices.
- Develop scalable processes and operating practices that support a growing MarTech portfolio.
- Establish and track metrics that improve transparency and accountability.
- Leverage automation, reporting, AI-enabled capabilities, and process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Technology, Operations, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery, portfolio management, business operations, marketing technology, digital transformation, product management, or a related area.
- Experience supporting enterprise technology, MarTech, digital experience, customer engagement, customer data, content, or marketing automation organizations.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience with roadmap planning, release planning, backlog prioritization, dependency management, and capacity planning.
- Experience leading or facilitating governance, planning, prioritization, or portfolio management processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience developing executive-level reporting, dashboards, presentations, and status updates.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively across business, technology, vendor, and agency teams in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Experience supporting enterprise MarTech or customer engagement platforms.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Project, or similar planning and portfolio tools.
- Agile certification such as SAFe, Scrum Master, Product Owner, PMI-ACP, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting product operating models and Agile transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to AI-enabled marketing, customer engagement, or digital experience capabilities.
Pay Range
$90-$100/hr
