Position Summary:
The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is seeking a Full-time or Part-time Dishwasher to join our dynamic and fun team. The Dishwasher will be responsible for performing cleaning and dishwashing duties in a busy, clean and professional kitchen.
The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is seeking a Full-time or Part-time Dishwasher to join our dynamic and fun team. The Dishwasher will be responsible for performing cleaning and dishwashing duties in a busy, clean and professional kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans are cleaned effectively and efficiently using dishwashers or by hand.
- Restock all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots/pans in the appropriate locations.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including carrying out the garbage and recyclables, sweeping and mopping floors (of the entire kitchen, including inside fridges).
- Operate cleaning machines according to company and manufacturer settings/specifications.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machines.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment (steam tables, flat tops etc) is properly cleaned.
- Clean the hood and ventilation system on a regular basis.
- Assist cooks with prep work as required.
- Clean unseen areas at least once a month (behind and under shelves/equipment).
- Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the work area is always kept clean, neat, and sanitary.
- Complete other duties as requested.
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is an asset.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and carry up to 50lbs and work in a hot environment.
- Organized with a strong focus and commitment to quality.
- Teamwork and cooperation to assist others in getting the job done.
- Must have an understanding of written and spoken English.
- Hardworking and reliable.
- Shift work hours – days and afternoons on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
