Product Manager, GPU Sandboxes

Company Description

We’re representing a fast-growing infrastructure company building the compute layer for AI agents. Its platform provides secure, isolated, instantly available environments where AI agents can run code, interact with computers, train, and execute other compute-intensive workloads.

The infrastructure supports use cases across AI agents, reinforcement learning, model workloads, and developer environments for some of the world's largest AI companies.

The company closed its Series A earlier this year and has already grown approximately 10x since the round. The team remains small and senior, creating significant ownership for people joining at this stage.

What You Will Do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for serverless GPU sandboxes.
• Work directly within the GPU engineering pod alongside its engineering lead.
• Determine what gets built, for whom, in what order, and at what price.
• Own decisions around instance shapes, GPU types, regions, quotas, and developer experience.
• Define product behavior around snapshots, pausing, and other sandbox lifecycle functionality.
• Spend significant time directly with customers, including AI agent companies, reinforcement-learning teams, and inference workloads.
• Translate customer pain points into a prioritized product backlog.
• Write clear product specifications, aggressively prioritize scope, and ship alongside engineering every week.
• Help shape pricing and packaging, including per-second GPU billing.
• Partner with Engineering on margin modeling and the economics of GPU workloads.
• Understand and communicate competitive positioning against other serverless GPU and compute platforms.
• Define and track metrics including:
  • Activation
  • Time to first GPU sandbox
  • GPU utilization
  • Net revenue retention across GPU SKUs
• Partner with Engineering and Finance on GPU capacity planning and procurement signals using actual customer-demand data.
• Balance technical product decisions with commercial considerations including pricing, margins, and unit economics.
• Help establish the product experience for an emerging infrastructure category where many of the conventions have yet to be defined.

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of product management experience.
• Meaningful experience working on infrastructure, cloud compute, or developer platforms.
• Strong technical fluency and the ability to work directly with highly technical engineers and customers.
• Comfortable discussing concepts such as:
  • GPU scheduling
  • Virtualization and isolation models
  • API design
  • Compute infrastructure
• Does not need to be a current software engineer but should have enough technical depth to independently evaluate engineering tradeoffs.
• Demonstrated experience shipping developer-facing products that achieved real adoption.
• Strong customer-discovery skills and a preference for speaking directly with users rather than relying primarily on internal presentations or secondhand feedback.
• Experience turning ambiguous customer problems into clear product priorities and specifications.
• Strong commercial instincts.
• Comfortable owning pricing, packaging, unit economics, and margin considerations as part of product strategy.
• Able to prioritize aggressively and make difficult scope decisions.
• Comfortable operating within a small, senior team where PMs work directly alongside engineering rather than coordinating through multiple organizational layers.

Preferred

• Previous product management experience with GPU products.
• Experience with serverless compute or ML infrastructure.
• Experience building products for AI-native companies or research labs.
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning and inference workloads.
• Understanding of GPU capacity, utilization, and infrastructure economics.
• Experience pricing usage-based infrastructure products.
• Previous experience as a software engineer.
• Background working on API-first developer products.
• Experience in an early-stage infrastructure or developer-tools company.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation: $220,000-$260,000 + Equity.
• Location: San Francisco.
• Company recently completed its Series A and has grown approximately 10x since.
• Works directly within the GPU engineering pod and alongside its engineering lead.
• Significant ownership across product strategy, technical roadmap, customer discovery, pricing, packaging, metrics, and capacity planning.
• The role is highly customer-facing and technically oriented.
• Best suited for an infrastructure-focused product leader who can move comfortably between GPU architecture discussions, customer discovery, API and developer-experience decisions, and commercial questions around pricing and unit economics.

Salary Range: $220,000-$260,000 base.
