Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for a full-time opportunity in Modesto, California. This role offers the opportunity to provide restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy to frail and elderly participants while working as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Unlike high-volume therapy environments, this position emphasizes lower patient volumes, long-term participant relationships, collaborative care, and work/life balance without after-hours documentation.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes. The role focuses on maximizing participant independence, safety, and performance of activities of daily living while collaborating closely with rehabilitation and interdisciplinary team members.
COMPENSATION
• Base Salary: $74,880-$99,840
ROLE
• Administer participant treatment programs established by the Occupational Therapist
• Assist the Occupational Therapist with vital signs, range-of-motion assessments, and strength testing
• Coordinate with Rehabilitation team members to implement activities and programs based on individual treatment plans
• Schedule participant treatments and clinical visits and support billing activities
• Document occupational therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans
• Utilize devices, techniques, and activities supporting muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, endurance, and independence with activities of daily living
• Collaborate with therapists, providers, and other disciplines as part of an interdisciplinary care model
• Provide services at the center and in participants' homes

• Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Associate's Degree From An Accredited Program REQUIRED
• Valid California OTA License Or Proof Of License Eligibility REQUIRED
• Minimum Of Two Years Of OTA Experience In A Clinical Setting With A Frail Or Elderly Population REQUIRED
• OTA Knowledge Necessary To Treat Frail, Elderly Participants With Complex Needs REQUIRED
Preferred
• Outpatient Experience Preferred
• Acute Care Experience Preferred
• Inpatient Experience Preferred
• Skilled Nursing Experience Preferred
