**This fixed term role is supported by grant funding that is approved for a one-year period**
This Manager serves as the primary leader for the national-level implementation of an institutional grant-funded program or project. The incumbent will lead the country management team in contextualizing the program model, delivering results aligned with award/grant agreement, and ensuring effective coordination with local partners, a national Steering Committee, the local transition partner, the Institutional Grants Team, and the donor or prime awardee. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills to manage successful outcomes and support a progressive transition or closeout of project operations within a specified timeline. She/He will also be accountable to ensure that the program or project aligns to any and all applicable institutional donor audit requirements as outlined by governing organizations involved.

Responsibilities
- Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands the mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
- Provides leadership, planning and consultation to subordinates, executives, and peer management in the successful alignment of assigned department resources to ensure achievement of operational priorities and initiatives, integrating priorities within organizational strategies to ensure that department's purpose is fulfilled.
- Compiles or prepares and administers the annual budget and departmental expenses, ensuring accountability for on-time completion of deliverables based on department objectives, SLAs, and other Compassion standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and board policies.
- Selects, manages and develops assigned staff, establishing goals and objectives, coaching and managing performance, including discipline, motivation, and annual reviews; supports continuous learning and development that enhances individual performance and organizational capability.
- Program Leadership and Contextualization: Manage the implementation of a program model contextualized to local needs and models, organizing integrated service delivery among the functional disciplines required to achieve the grant objectives. Ensure project activities align with donor requirements, approved proposals, and sector best practices.
- Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for grant-funded programmatic activities. Maintain relationships with host country government stakeholders, faith-based networks, and other local partners to support project objectives.
- Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of country-specific progress reports for consolidation, review, and approval prior to submission to the donor and/or governing bodies. Ensure compliance with financial and governmental regulations as applicable.
- Team Management and Transition Support: Partner with the country management team to deliver results and build local capacity. Foster a collaborative, results-oriented work environment, ensuring accountability and alignment with award-specific and consortium-wide goals.
- Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential risks to project implementation facilitate mitigation efforts as applicable. Address and escalate challenges promptly to maintain project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
- Budget and Financial Accountability: Accountable for ensuring program implementation costs are within the established grant budget. Further ensures that financial management of funds is within the appropriate legal compliance and corporate policy standards.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree
Experience
- Relevant experience working in this or a related field.
Licenses and Certifications
- Certification from a nationally or internationally recognized organization in a related field.
