Role Overview
Since its launch in 2019, Coupang Eats has achieved remarkable growth in the highly competitive delivery market. As a multi-sided platform serving consumers, merchants, and delivery partners, Coupang Eats delivers innovative and reliable experiences at scale. Leveraging Coupang’s world-class technology and operational excellence, Coupang Eats combines startup agility with large-scale engineering challenges. Our teams—including product managers, operations leaders, designers, and engineers—work together to solve complex problems with a relentless focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
As a Senior Staff Mobile Engineer, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the technical vision, architecture, and engineering culture for the entire Coupang Eats mobile ecosystem, including the Customer App, Merchant App, and Delivery Partner App. You will lead large-scale technical initiatives, drive mobile platform strategy, and elevate engineering excellence across teams and organizations.
What You Will do
- Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap for the Coupang Eats mobile platform, including architecture, infrastructure, reliability, scalability, performance, and developer productivity.
- Lead the design and evolution of scalable mobile architectures and platform capabilities across multiple mobile applications and engineering teams.
- Drive engineering excellence by establishing and evangelizing best practices in software design, testing, observability, CI/CD, release management, and operational quality.
- Partner with senior engineering leaders, product leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical strategy with business priorities and customer needs.
- Lead mission-critical, cross-team technical initiatives from concept through execution and operational excellence.
- Influence technical direction across the organization through strong technical leadership, architectural reviews, and strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and grow senior mobile engineers and technical leaders through coaching, technical guidance, and leadership by example.
- Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, innovation, velocity, and customer obsession.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mobile software engineering, including significant experience building and scaling consumer-facing mobile applications used by millions of users.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale mobile initiatives and influencing technical direction across teams or organizations.
- Deep expertise in native mobile development (Android and/or iOS) and modern mobile application architecture.
- Strong experience designing scalable mobile platforms, frameworks, libraries, and developer tooling.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional projects in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong system design, problem-solving, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
