Introduction
As Director Sales, you will play a critical role in strengthening strategic customer relationships, expanding GlobalFoundries’ business with existing and prospective customers, and driving sustainable growth across key markets.
You will develop and execute account strategies, build trusted executive-level relationships, identify and qualify new business opportunities, and work closely with internal stakeholders across product lines, engineering, operations, finance and leadership to secure design wins, tape-outs and order fulfillment in support of business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand GlobalFoundries’ share of wallet within customer accounts.
Build, maintain and strengthen executive-level customer relationships based on trust, credibility and mutual success.
Create, monitor and revise lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities to diversify and grow the customer base.
Drive customer engagement across the sales cycle, including design wins, tape-outs and order fulfillment toward organizational goals.
Bring strong market, customer and product insight into internal decision-making and strategic discussions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product lines, engineering, manufacturing, finance, legal and other business partners to deliver customer solutions.
Support forecasting, opportunity tracking and account governance with a disciplined and data-informed approach.
Contribute to strategic business planning, regional or global growth initiatives and commercial decision-making.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field or alternatively Apprenticeship e.g. Industrial Clerk.
Significant experience in semiconductor sales, business development, strategic account management or a related commercial leadership role.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing complex customer engagements.
Strong understanding of semiconductor markets, technologies and customer ecosystems.
Experience building and managing executive-level customer relationships.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and ability to operate in a global matrix organization.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English, written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree, such as MBA, Master’s or PhD.
Experience working with global semiconductor customers and strategic accounts.
Knowledge of high-growth markets such as automotive, industrial, communications infrastructure, aerospace and defense, AI or hyperscale.
Experience leading international sales teams, regional sales organizations or global strategic accounts.
Additional language skills relevant to target customer markets.
