Job Summary
The Pulsar Engineering Specialist (PES) is responsible for managing platform configuration, product requirements, and lifecycle data within the Pulsar system throughout the notebook product development lifecycle. This role works closely with cross teams to ensure product data accuracy, platform readiness, and successful execution from project initiation through end of manufacturing. The PES serves as a key coordinator for product setup, Product Requirement List (PRL) setup, lifecycle maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Create platform configurations in Pulsar based on Product Definition Documents (PDD) and approved project requirements.
- Configure and manage Base Unit Groups, Product Requirement Lists (PRL), Localization, and Image settings for assigned projects. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across product configurations, requirements, and lifecycle information throughout the development process.
- Coordinate PRL reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Maintain and update product lifecycle data based on the approved DCR in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to operational excellence initiatives within the organization.
- Offer the flexibility in supporting engineering teams for Consumer Notebook project development via acting as a POPM.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
- 2 years above experience of project/program management.
- Experience supporting cross-functional product development programs is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with global teams and external ODM partners is an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Highly detail-oriented with exceptional attention to accuracy and data quality, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and completeness across large volumes of product configuration, requirements, and lifecycle management data.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills in a global environment, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.
- Knowledge of engineering operations, program execution, or product data management practices.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and Mandarin.
