OVERVIEW
Releady is partnering with a leading healthcare technology company that operates as part of a multi-entity family of companies built to modernize identity and access management for a nationwide health plan ecosystem. The organization's Identity and Access Management team designs, engineers, and operates the enterprise identity services that govern secure, scalable, and seamless access across a technology environment spanning hybrid cloud, SaaS, on-premises, application, privileged, service, machine, and AI-enabled access patterns. The team owns Identity Lifecycle Management, Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management, authentication, authorization, automation, and Zero Trust capabilities, and partners across the enterprise to support digital transformation, regulatory compliance, secure software delivery, and responsible AI adoption.
The Senior Manager, Identity Platform Engineering will report to the Sr. Director, Identity & Access Management and will help shape the future of the organization's identity platform by engineering secure, automated, and scalable IAM capabilities. This is a hands-on leadership role: the successful candidate will partner with engineering teams to integrate identity into modern software delivery practices, accelerate automation through DevOps and AI, and deliver programmatic identity services that development teams can consume through self-service, least-privileged, time-bound, and policy-governed patterns. The organization's leadership model emphasizes developing strong leaders at every level, and this role calls for someone energized by critical thinking, building high-performing teams, delivering results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Identity Platform Engineering & Automation
• Design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise IAM capabilities across hybrid cloud, SaaS, on-premises, application, privileged, service, machine, and AI-enabled access patterns.
• Lead engineering, automation, and modernization of Identity Lifecycle Management, Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management, authentication, authorization, and federation capabilities.
• Develop and maintain scalable identity services using Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, workflow orchestration, and automated testing to accelerate delivery and improve reliability.
Identity as a Platform
• Deliver IAM as a reusable, API-driven, developer-consumable platform that enables self-service application onboarding, entitlement workflows, access request automation, and reference architectures.
• Design and implement Role-Based Access Control, Attribute-Based Access Control, and Just-in-Time, time-bound, and Least Privilege access models that reduce standing privilege while simplifying administration.
Privileged Access & Governance
• Advance privileged access modernization through automated approval workflows, time-bound elevation, break-glass controls, credential rotation, session monitoring, and risk-based privilege management.
• Engineer integrations across identity governance, directory, cloud, HR, and enterprise application platforms to support automated provisioning, deprovisioning, and machine-to-machine access.
AI-Enabled Access & Enterprise Strategy
• Define secure identity and access patterns for AI-enabled systems, including AI agents, copilots, and autonomous workflows that require controlled access to enterprise or healthcare data.
• Leverage AI and intelligent automation to improve entitlement analysis, access reviews, anomaly detection, and audit readiness, and to support compliance with HIPAA, SOX, HITRUST, and Zero Trust principles.
• Contribute to enterprise IAM architecture, engineering standards, platform roadmaps, and measurable risk-reduction outcomes that support the organization's broader technology strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of eight years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions, including four years of direct people management experience.
• Strong understanding of Identity Lifecycle Management, Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes, Identity Governance, and Privileged Access Management within complex hybrid cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments.
• Deep understanding of Role-Based Access Control, Attribute-Based Access Control, Just-in-Time, and Least Privilege security models.
• Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks, including Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and modern identity federation technologies.
• Experience delivering identity as a platform capability, including self-service, API-driven, developer-consumable IAM services for application, cloud, and security engineering teams.
• Experience implementing DevOps or platform engineering practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and policy-as-code.
• Experience applying identity controls to AI-enabled systems, including AI agents, copilots, machine identities, and least-privilege access to sensitive enterprise data.
