Job Description Summary

About This Role

The energy grid is one of the most complex systems on Earth — and you're the kind of leader who finds that energizing, not overwhelming. As the Global Service Line Leader for GridOS Advisory Services at GE Vernova, you'll own the strategy, architecture, and execution of customer-facing advisory engagements worldwide. You'll build and lead a high-performing team of senior professionals, shape how utilities adopt and scale GE Vernova's grid software portfolio, and sit at the intersection of technical depth and commercial impact.

This isn't a role for someone who manages from a distance. You'll be in the room — with customers, with regional sales teams, with partners — driving real decisions about how the grid gets smarter.

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Lead and win advisory engagements — own the creation of Services Scopes and Statements of Work (SOWs), including responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and proactive sales pursuits alongside regional sales and portfolio teams worldwide.

  • Define architecture for customer success — design and own optimal deployment architectures for GE Vernova's GridOS and Grid Software (GridSW) suite, guiding customers through complex integrations with legacy technology and enterprise systems.

  • Drive technical and commercial strategy — lead domain-level conversations on future architecture direction across the product line, evaluate emerging technologies, and translate industry trends into actionable guidance for customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Build and grow a world-class team — recruit, develop, and retain senior advisory professionals; lead blended teams that include third-party partners and customer personnel, and champion a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Influence at every level — communicate complex technical solutions clearly to executive audiences, negotiate with external partners and customers, and build consensus across IT organizations and business leadership.

What You'll Bring

You are a seasoned leader who combines deep technical expertise in grid software with the commercial instincts to close and deliver complex engagements. You are equally comfortable in a customer briefing and a technical architecture review.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field — though we are most interested in your total experience and professional track record; equivalent experience will be considered

  • Significant experience (10+ years) in the software industry

  • Deep expertise in GridOS and GridSW applications, including implementation and advisory services

  • Proven ability to lead medium-to-large, geographically distributed teams — including third-party partners and customer staff

  • Demonstrated success designing and delivering enterprise-scale software deployment architectures

  • Proficiency in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and cloud infrastructure, with relevant certification preferred

  • Skilled in developing and managing capital and operating budgets across complex engagements

  • This role requires willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, domestically and internationally, to support customer engagements and regional sales activities.

Preferred Skills & Characteristics:

  • Hands-on knowledge of utilities industry and grid technology

  • Experience leading responses to large-scale RFPs and unsolicited pursuits in enterprise software or utilities

  • Background in change management and organizational acceleration within technology transformation programs

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality/process certification
