At Intermountain Health, our Hospitalist Coordinators play a vital role in ensuring patients receive seamless, high-quality care throughout their hospital stay. This unique RN role combines clinical expertise, care coordination, patient advocacy, and physician support to help create an exceptional experience for patients, families, and caregivers.

Schedule & Location

  • Enjoy a flexible, salaried schedule while making a meaningful impact on patient care. This position is scheduled for 63 hours per pay period, with a typical shift of 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM and shift differential opportunities available. The schedule includes variable days and participation in a weekend and holiday rotation.

  • This role is based onsite at Valley Center Tower (VCT) and offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of practice.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

  • Two years of clinical hospital experience.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

    Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified

  • RNs hired or promoted into this role must obtain a BSN within three years of hire or promotion if not already completed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with training, auditing, or process improvement initiatives.

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and clinical workflows.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical information systems.

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess patient needs.

  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$41.20 - $62.17
