Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screening in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will manage access control, screen visitors and deliveries, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for a logistics and distribution location, verifying authorized access for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Verify identification, maintain visitor and contractor logs, issue and collect access credentials, and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
