Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Response in Westlake, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will support access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, operational areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to established protocols.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
