Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent (if position is at Horizons)

Required License/Certifications/Registrations

• Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.
• Kansas Driver's License (if position requires driving)
• Auto insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving)

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous exposure to a medical environment.

Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations

• Certification as a MA, CNA, PCT, EMT, or HHA in the state of Kansas
• Phlebotomy Technician PBT (ASCP)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Moderate computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Possess compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Physical Requirements:

With or without accommodation.

• Heavy Work: Occasionally exerting up to 100 lbs - constantly exerting up to 20 lbs. 51-75% of the day may be standing or walking.
