Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional at an educational government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, observation, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate school personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
