Overview
We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our structural design team in the Middle East. The successful candidate will have 4–5 years of experience in the structural design of building structures and will work under limited guidance from senior engineers. This role is suitable for a motivated professional capable of delivering assigned design tasks independently while continuing to develop technical expertise in reinforced concrete and steel structures.
Your role
- Carry out structural analysis and design of building structures under limited guidance using software such as ETABS and SAFE.
- Prepare structural calculations, analysis models, and technical design documentation in accordance with American codes (ACI, ASCE, AISC) and relevant local authority requirements.
- Assist senior engineers in developing efficient and safe structural design solutions.
- Utilize or support design activities using tools such as PROKON, RAM Concept, RAM Connection, IDEA StatiCa, and Revit (experience is an advantage).
- Participate in internal technical discussions and design reviews as required.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 4–5 years of experience in a structural design consultancy, primarily focused on building structures.
- Experience working on Middle East building projects (UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong practical experience in reinforced concrete design and detailing to American codes.
- Working knowledge of structural steel design and detailing is preferred.
- Good understanding of current structural design standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while recognizing when guidance is required.
