Job Description

Experienced Murex Control-M Developer with strong expertise in scheduling, automation, and batch processing within the Murex MX.3 environment. Skilled in designing, implementing, and supporting automated workflows for Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office processes, ensuring reliable end-of-day (EOD), start-of-day (SOD), and intraday operations across financial trading environments. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain Control-M job scheduling solutions supporting Murex MX.3 environments. 
  • Develop and manage automated batch processes for End-of-Day (EOD), Start-of-Day (SOD), market data loading, valuation, and reporting. 
  • Configure and maintain job dependencies, calendars, alerts, notifications, and recovery procedures. 
  • Monitor daily production schedules and resolve batch failures to ensure timely business processing. 
  • Work closely with Murex functional teams, infrastructure, and application support teams to optimize scheduling processes. 
  • Implement and support file transfers, interface automation, and integration with upstream and downstream systems. 
  • Perform root cause analysis of scheduling issues and implement preventive improvements. 
  • Support production releases, deployments, and migration of Control-M jobs across environments. 
  • Develop operational documentation, scheduling procedures, and disaster recovery processes. 
  • Participate in production support and provide on-call support for critical batch processing. 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Control-M Scheduler (BMC) 
  • Murex MX.3 Batch Processing 
  • Unix/Linux Shell Scripting 
  • Oracle SQL 
  • Job Scheduling & Workflow Automation 
  • File Transfer Automation (FTP/SFTP) 
  • Production Support & Incident Management 
  • Monitoring & Alert Configuration 
  • Autosys / Enterprise Scheduling (desirable) 
  • Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Confluence 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
