Your future team:
You will become part of the Project Support team consising of over 20 specialists, supporting our CAPEX projects with: Planning, Contract Management, Quality Assurance and general support.
You will become part of a highly competent team, and you can anticipate a lot of responsibility in this position, combined with a high degree of independence and freedom to solve your tasks as you see fit. You will be reporting to the Project Support Department Manager in Group Operation & Technology, Project Execution.
What you will be doing:
The Senior Project Planner role includes implementing and following up on planning activities within large- and mega projects. You will be the focal point for all activities related to planning and provide guidance and consultation to Project Managers, Managers and stakeholders. You will be running the planning meetings to ensure smooth and successful project implementation, and support the PM in monitoring and reporting
More specifically, your key tasks will be:
Supporting the Project Managers with planning, following up on and identifying potential risks and delays and/or cost impacts at an early stage.
Challenging the project and ensuring that the plan and process structure is realistic.
Building a strong planning culture in our project teams and fostering good data discipline.
Being the anchor person towards sitebased planners and contractors.
Guiding and instructing Project Managers using the newly implemented Project Management tool based on Planisware.
Handling ad-hoc analysis and tasks.
You can expect up to 30-50 days of annual travel, primarily within Europe and US.
What you bring:
5+ years of experience as a Planner or Project Manager, delivering projects within construction, renewable energy or similar business areas.
Experience building efficient, logical project structures, with an eye for detail and creating systems to support keeping projects on track and teams informed.
Maintaining good standards of compliance and discipline, understanding that project controls are there to support the team and the project, and provide the foundation for in-time delivery.
Communicating clearly and transparently, adapting your message to different stakeholders' contexts, describing even complex situations in ways that resonate with their specific needs and priorities.
