Description
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing facility. This includes preventive maintenance, replacing equipment, repairing equipment, installing new equipment, troubleshooting and other tasks as assigned.
Adhere to the Zero Harm/Zero Waste Culture
Actively support the Responsible Care efforts for facility
Follows all safety rules policies, procedures, OSHA regulations
Secures and reports unsafe conditions
Attends required safety training
Safely perform tasks and participate in Safety programs
Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of plant equipment
Troubleshoot issues with plant equipment
Repair and replace equipment as needed
Perform basic welding and pipe fitting
Be able to successfully complete pipe fitting, bearings, welding, torch, power transmission testing per the schedule
Willingness to be on-call and handle plant breakdowns on evenings and weekends as per the schedule
Ability to maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
Be able to replace 120 volt and 480-volt electric motors
Be able to work well in a group environment and individually
Be able to learn the process flow of the plant to adequately be able to troubleshoot plant equipment
Be able to be meticulous when repairing equipment that requires it
Perform other duties as assigned
Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements
1 year Maintenance experience required
Must have good understanding of mechanical equipment
Must be capable of understanding and using computers including Microsoft Office
Physical & Work Requirement
Must be able to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
List any PPE: safety goggles, hard hat, steel toe boots, must be medically cleared to wear a full faced respirator.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
