THE OPPORUNITY
The Portfolio Delivery Manager is the operational thread connecting demand to delivery inside Expert Excellence. Portfolio Delivery Manager's (PDM) translate committed business needs into coordinated delivery execution — managing the flow of learning content requests from intake through production, readiness, and delivery confirmation. PDMs receive demand from upstream partners — and coordinate across downstream delivery functions to ensure everything is ready on time and at quality.

The downstream functions PDMs work with include Learning Solutions & Strategy (content and curriculum design), Delivery (facilitation and deployment), and Platform (the technology that hosts and
delivers the learning).

This is not a business relationship role and not a learning strategy role. It is a delivery coordination / project management role that ensures what gets committed upstream actually gets built, tracked, and delivered by the right downstream teams.

Demand Intake and Upstream Coordination:
  • Manage incoming learning content requests through the established intake process — ensuring requests are
complete, scoped, and properly documented before entering the delivery pipeline.
  • Partner with internal teams to clarify business requirements, confirm scope, and align on timelines before work is resourced.
  • Flag incomplete or unclear requests and drive resolution before they create downstream rework.
Downstream Coordination and Delivery Readiness:
  • Coordinate across Learning Solutions & Strategy, Delivery, and Platform teams to ensure each function is resourced, aligned, and ready to execute on committed work with clear dates and deliverables.
  • Manage dependencies and sequencing across downstream functions — ensuring content design, delivery
preparation, and platform readiness are progressing in parallel and not blocking each other.
  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and readiness gaps before they become delivery failures.
  • Confirm delivery readiness at key milestones and ensure the handoff from production to deployment is clean and complete.
Supply Chain Tracking and Visibility:
  • Own the end-to-end tracking of active work requests from intake through delivery confirmation — maintaining accurate status, milestone, and dependency visibility across assigned portfolio areas.
  • Maintain accurate and current data in Jira, Smartsheet, and eventually the unified PMO platform so the portfolio view is always reliable.
  • Provide clear and timely status updates to the Portfolio Operations & Delivery lead and to upstream partners as needed.
Prioritization Support:
  • Support the prioritization process by ensuring all active and incoming requests have the information needed to make sound prioritization decisions.
  • Surface capacity constraints, sequencing conflicts, and trade-off options to the Portfolio Operations & Delivery lead.
  • Communicate prioritization decisions back to ERCMs and LCPs clearly and in a timely way.
Process Improvement and Governance:
  • Operate within and actively improve the supply chain governance framework — identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to make the process cleaner and more reliable.
  • Document learnings, recurring issues, and process improvements and bring them to the Portfolio Operations & Delivery lead and the Business Process function.
  • Support the transition to the unified PMO platform — contributing to requirements, testing, and adoption.
Qualifications:
  • Proven project or program management experience — PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent demonstrated capability.
  • Experience coordinating across content design, delivery, and technology platform functions in a learning or content production environment.
  • Familiarity with supply chain governance, demand management, or capacity planning concepts.
  • Strong track record managing multiple concurrent workstreams with complex dependencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting or contributing to PMO platform transitions or tooling consolidation
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where processes are still being built and improved.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — able to translate operational complexity into clear status and stakeholder updates.
  • Proficient in Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent project tracking tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through — nothing falls through the cracks.
