Position Summary:
- Texas Pacific Water Resources (TPWR) is seeking a Water Supply Engineer to lead the development of potable water supply systems supporting large-scale industrial projects throughout West Texas. This role will serve as the primary technical resource for potable water infrastructure, working closely with EPC firms, consulting engineers, and construction teams, to develop reliable, compliant, and cost-effective public water supply solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in municipal water utilities, public water systems, consulting engineering, or industrial water infrastructure and possess a strong understanding of water treatment, distribution systems, permitting, and project execution
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, engineering, and execution of potable water supply projects from concept through commissioning
- Coordinate with third-party EPC firms, engineering consultants, and equipment vendors during design and construction
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submittals
- Assist in development of treatment system process design, equipment selection, and infrastructure sizing
- Work closely with construction managers and field personnel to address design issues, RFIs, schedule impacts, and change management
- Participate in weekly project meetings and provide status updates on engineering deliverables, permitting activities, and critical path items
- Assist with development and review of contractor scopes of work, bid packages, and procurement packages
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in potable water systems, municipal utilities, consulting engineering, EPC projects, or industrial water infrastructure
- Knowledge of water treatment processes, distribution systems, storage facilities, pumping systems, and utility infrastructure
- Experience managing engineering consultants and contractor interfaces
- Familiarity with project budgeting, scheduling, and construction execution
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
