Principal II, Application Development

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: 

The Principal of Application Development will be responsible for collaborating proactively with Applications analysts to translate business and integration requirements into configurable component designs and solutions. The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with other business and technology personnel and internal customers to provide very responsive support to this global application.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

• Proficient in Software development lifecycles namely Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and AIM Methodology. 
• Will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, customizing and integrating Oracle e-Business Suite and Salesforce applications with other systems, and providing ongoing support and future enhancements of those solutions.·
• To work with team members as needed to scope, design, develop, test, implement, support and responsible for coding and unit testing application software across production support, enhancements and projects·
• Meet service level agreements for production support response and resolution·Design and develop technical solutions to a pre-defined requirement and develop components including extensions, views, customizations, modifications, reports, and workflows independently or as a part of a team
• Design and develop high quality software on force.com platform 
• Performance Improvement in the Applications environment. Tuning code, Application health check, 
• Application improvement proposals and implementations.
• Follow documentation, software development methodology, version control and testing, and migration standards
• Understand the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes and understand challenges faced by business teams and address those.
• Meet service level agreements for production support response and resolution. Troubleshoot issues find their root cause, and any necessary corrective actions to resolve them permanently·
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced Application Developers.·
• Develop a cooperative environment that fosters knowledge sharing·
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment·
• Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Skills:

Required:

• Excellent technical skills with Major ERP applications such as Oracle and Salesforce
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, Workflow, Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, Oracle Development Tools.
• Proficiency in Oracle Applications R12 and Oracle Fusion
• Understanding of different interfacing mechanisms, Web Services, ETL, etc 
• Strong understanding of relational databases (including tables, views, indexes, table spaces etc.), including understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and the translation of business requirements into them.
• Hands-on software troubleshooting experience and Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
• Experience with change management tools and processes, including source code control, versioning, branching, defect tracking and release management.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Oracle and ERP API’s 
• In-depth knowledge of Applications code registration procedures 
• Good working knowledge in Unix/Linux shell scripting 
• Ability to identify system impact for small- and large-scale initiatives
• Experience with global implementations of Oracle EBS Applications and Salesforce, building highly available, scalable, and secure systems.
• Coordinate migrations/implementation of changes between the different Application environments (i.e., Development, Test, and Production).
• Expertise in the Interfaces, conversion and data migration between different Oracle ERP modules Oracle Cloud, Salesforce and 3rd party applications·
• Experience working in a DevOps Framework. 
• Expert knowledge in lightning component development, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS. 
• Expert knowledge in designing and building applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components.
• Experience creating RESTful and SOAP based web services in salesforce platform 
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling including Salesforce.com SOQL, SOSL query language 
• Expert knowledge of MVC concepts. 
• Experience designing and developing applications using OOP concepts and design patterns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment 
• Passion for measuring and improving code. 
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, multitasking and presentation skills 
• Demonstrated understanding of and experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API 
• Experience using ANT based deployment 
• Experience using the Force.com data loader and handling data migration assignments. 
• Experience with CI / CD concepts and platforms/tools
• Experience with development tools such as VS Code & GIT 

Certificates / Training:

• Required: Certifications demonstrating industry recognition for area of expertise

Experience:

• 7+ years’ experience in applications with deep expertise in one area
• 5+ Years’ experience in design & development of end to end complex application

 

Education:

Required:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred

• Advanced Technical Degree

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience  supporting the  performance  and operation  of  high-traffic transactional  web  system inproduction   environments,   including  log   aggregation,   remote  debugging,   pro-active   monitoring  of systems, for example through developing alerts
• Continuous  Delivery, including  source  control practices,  versioning,  branching, pipeline  developmentautomation acceptance, and release management
• Experience with international or multi-level marketing business
• Experience with monitoring tools.
