Role/ Department:
Drive operating model assessment and its evolution across NTAM India to deliver the business’ strategic growth and scale objectives. Play an active role in communicating and influencing the change agenda, including leading the successful implementation and adoption of AI across NTAM India. Provide strategic local leadership across capabilities, including Investment, Product, Risk, Marketing, Research, and Wealth. Ensure strong visibility and presence of NTAM India in the local market and NT. Responsible for attracting and growing talent across NTAM India.
The individual will serve as a senior leader, representing the function in governance forums and key decision-making bodies, while influencing strategic outcomes and fostering alignment across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating Model Evolution
- Assess operating models, technology, process, and organizational opportunities and translate insights into actionable roadmaps.
- Lead select initiatives, including current-state assessment, and design future-state processes that are standardized, scalable, auditable, and technology-enabled
- Lead value discovery and business value mapping initiatives to ensure transformation investments are aligned to strategic objectives and measurable business outcomes.
- Develop business cases, define success metrics, and track value realization to ensure transformation investments deliver measurable business and client outcomes.
Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted, proactive relationships with global senior leaders by maintaining clear communication rhythms, surfacing insights early, and translating offshore execution perspectives into strategic recommendations.
- Influence across a global matrix by framing operating model assessments in terms of business value, risk, scalability, and growth, ensuring recommendations are practical, well-socialized, and aligned with senior stakeholder priorities.
- Communicate a compelling AI and technology-enabled change agenda, helping senior leaders understand the “what, so what, and now what” of opportunities to improve productivity, strengthen capabilities, and support business growth.
Change Leadership
- Influence enterprise-wide change agendas by providing expertise on business process transformation, platform modernization, digital adoption, and organizational effectiveness.
Learning and Adoption
- Provide local thought leadership for NTAM India on AI, data, and digital learning agenda by curating relevant trends, use cases, and best practices that can be translated into practical business adoption opportunities.
- Partner with global teams to shape and oversee targeted training programs for India partners, aligning content, timing, and audience segmentation to build digital fluency, accelerate AI adoption, and strengthen future-ready capabilities.
Thought Leadership
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert on Digital Products, Data Platforms, Artificial Intelligence and Asset Management technology, partnering with business, technology and platform leaders to shape future-state capabilities.
Change Leadership
- Influence enterprise-wide change agendas by providing expertise on business process transformation, platform modernization, digital adoption, and organizational effectiveness.
Regional Leadership:
- Act as the senior regional leader for NTAM's capabilities in India, providing oversight, connectivity and governance across Product, Investment Risk, Marketing, Quantitative Research, OCIO, Wealth and other investment-support functions.
- Serve as the primary India-based partner to global functional leaders, helping shape workforce strategy, operating model decisions, location strategy, organizational design and capability expansion across Non-COO teams.
Capability Expansion:
- Partner with global stakeholders to identify, incubate and scale new capabilities in India, ensuring alignment to NTAM's growth strategy, future-state operating model and evolving business priorities.
Talent Leadership:
- Build and sustain a high-performing talent ecosystem across NTAM India by strengthening leadership pipelines, succession plans, capability development, coaching, and employee engagement to support current and future business needs. Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture that supports innovation, engagement, and career development across diverse teams.
Skills/ Experience Required:
- Solid track record Asset Management or Asset Servicing, with broad experience gained ideally within a global asset manager or outsourcing provider.
- Highly adaptable leader with the ability to operate across a global matrixed organization and diverse business, investment, risk and enabling functions.
- Proven track record of leading transformational change initiatives and driving adoption across global, matrixed organizations.
- Proven ability as a proactive hands-on leader and people manager to effectively drive and execute to high standards across a diverse and increasingly complex book of business.
- Ability to build authentic and high-performing teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and strong partner engagement.
- Strong track record of assessing risk, identifying opportunities, communicating solutions, and driving meaningful change.
- Highly organized, detail oriented and results focused individual with a strong track record in managing teams and self to deliver on multiple initiatives both locally and globally.

Technical & Communication Skills
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex operational, technology, risk, and investment concepts into clear business outcomes for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders, build trusted partnerships, challenge constructively, and drive alignment across complex global organizations.
- Strong understanding of asset management operating models, investment lifecycle processes, operational risk frameworks, data governance, and control environments.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, digital workflow technologies, and data analytics, with the ability to identify and scale practical business use cases.
- Demonstrated ability to assess emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices and translate them into practical business opportunities and operating model improvements.
- Ability to leverage data, metrics, and insights to evaluate performance, prioritize investments, measure outcomes, and support strategic decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, articulate a compelling vision, and drive adoption across geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and achieve alignment across stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the preparation of executive-level presentations, strategy papers, governance materials, and board-ready updates.
- High degree of commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to connect industry trends, emerging technologies, and organizational priorities to business outcomes.
Experience & Education
- Strong preference for candidates with senior-level experience at a large global asset management firm or a leading consulting organization supporting the asset management industry.
- 20+ years of overall experience & minimum 10 years of relevant Asset Management experience mandatory.
- Strong asset management domain knowledge; process transformation and operating model design; AI, automation, and data literacy; business analysis and product thinking; stakeholder leadership; change management; governance and control mindset; ability to translate strategy into executable delivery.
- Strong commercial sense with demonstrated ability to take industry trends, innovative behaviors, data analytics, and automation to drive growth, scale and risk management.
- Well-developed project management skills organized and disciplined with attention to detail and ability to execute.
- University degree in any discipline (Engineering/Finance/Investments preferred) with a post graduate MBA degree/CFA from a premier institute.
