Description
Essential Functions (Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct analysis of data generated from R16-funded research projects (25%)
- Develop and apply AI/ML methods to biomedical data, including pipeline development (25%)
- Participate in collaborative research activities, including manuscript preparation and grant development (25%)
- Assist the PI in workshops, mentoring, and training of students and junior trainees (25%)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Solid computing background or data experience, e.g., supercomputing and machine learning;
- Good programming skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, etc).
- A good understanding of genetics or molecular biology is a plus, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Preferred:
Computing background
Education and Experience Required:
Ph.D. in either computer science, bioinformatics, quantitative science, computational biology, or related field.
