Portfolio Manager – Fixed Income
$100,000 / year minimum, commensurate with experience
Job Level: Manager
Job Location: Corporate Office – Columbia, Missouri

What You Will Be Doing:
Identify fixed income investment opportunities consistent with portfolio strategies for core insurance accounts; conduct due diligence, market research and securities analysis; make recommendations to senior management and prepare reports and presentations for board-level Investment Committee meetings; monitor IPS compliance; manage the liquidity position of Shelter entities; maintain process documentation to ensure procedures are current, accurate and implementable.
What We're Looking For:
- BA in analytical field (Accounting, Finance, etc.) required and 5 to 7 years of investment related experience preferred.
- MBA or CFA, or other relevant investment certification.
- Demonstrated ability to apply finance and investment management theory.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of one or more fixed income sectors.
- Advanced experience with Excel spreadsheet functions and database tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Bloomberg Investment System preferred.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
