Welding Application Technologist

At Fronius Canada we are currently looking for a passionate Welding Application Technician - Perfect Welding to join our TSN Team at our Mississauga location. What you will be doing:

• Application technical support for end clients and dealers in Ontario and across Canada as required.

• Organization and execution of product tests at customers during the pre-serial/test phase as well as forwarding this knowledge to Fronius International

• Responsible for supporting the Area Sales Manager and/or the sales process in the design of system installation parameters for routine configuration and installation of Fronius product to clients and potential clients.

• Evaluates the client’s needs for upgrades or up sells of current or new installations.

• Works independently with clients and prospective clients at their locations providing product guidance and support and addressing installation and product usability issues of routine to moderate complexity.

• Attends/facilitates presentations or develops proposals, conducts demonstrations, acting as the technical expert.

• Providing application advice for Fronius team members, end customers, distributors and dealers

• Welding system and software installation and integration at client location.

• Carrying out test welds of client or prospective client prototypes and/or samples and documenting the results on the Fronius intranet.

• Programming, troubleshooting and testing of robot control units

• Conduct training events for team members, distributors, dealers and end clients

• Providing technical support for the introduction of products/systems/processes onto the market

• Forward feedback about market, competition, product to Fronius International

• Participating in trade fairs and providing technical support at regional and national events.

• Other tasks as required

What we are looking for:

• 3 year diploma in Welding Engineering Technology with 2-4 years of experience

• Good hands-on welder (SMAW, GMAW & GTAW)

• Experience with robotic welding is an asset

• Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.

• Ability to work on multiple projects

• Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

• Must be willing and authorized to travel throughout Canada, USA and Europe.

• Must have a valid driver’s license

What we offer:

• Salary range: $60,000 to $80,000
