Senior Go Developer (fintech/crypto)

EMCD is a global crypto ecosystem building products across mining, wallets, payments, custody, and digital asset infrastructure.

We are looking for a Senior Go Developer to join the CHW Services team and work on backend services connected to real money flows: holds, debits, credits, provider integrations, reconciliation, and transaction lifecycle management.

We are considering candidates from fintech or crypto backgrounds who have built and supported money operations in production.

Responsibilities

• Build new backend services in Go and improve existing CHW Services products
• Integrate external providers via REST and internal services via gRPC and Kafka
• Refactor legacy services to reduce support cost, simplify architecture, remove technical debt, and improve test coverage
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and security for financial flows
• Support production systems, investigate incidents, and track operation lifecycle end to end
• Provide technical mentorship within the team

Requirements

• Production experience with money operations in fintech or crypto: holds, debits, credits, balances, transaction lifecycle, and reconciliation
• Strong understanding of how to store and move money between systems safely: decimal precision, operation keys, idempotency, consistency, and auditability
• Strong production experience with Go, PostgreSQL, gRPC / REST, and Kafka
• Real experience applying microservice patterns to financial systems: Saga, compensation, distributed transactions, outbox, idempotent consumers, and reconciliation loops
• Experience integrating external providers via REST, including timeouts, provider-side statuses, delayed reversals, and “our side / their side” reconciliation
• Strong PostgreSQL beyond CRUD: transactions, isolation levels, unique constraints, locks, indexes, and EXPLAIN
• Strong Kafka knowledge: partitions, consumer groups, offsets, rebalancing, delivery guarantees, ordering, and safe horizontal scaling
• Active use of AI agents in development, with a practical understanding of spec-driven workflows and harness building
