Job Description
The Material Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end materials flow to ensure optimal inventory levels, supplier performance, and production continuity. This role drives alignment between demand planning, procurement, production scheduling, and logistics to enable lean operations, cost efficiency, and high service levels.
Key Accountabilities
Oversee demand planning, supply planning, and production scheduling processes.
Ensure material availability to support production while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Monitor and improve KPI’s.
Collaborate with sourcing teams to ensure supplier performance meets quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
Drive supplier accountability and resolve escalations impacting production continuity.
Lead cycle count programs, inventory accuracy initiatives, and root cause analysis for variances.
Champion lean, six sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in material flow and implement corrective actions.
Act as the primary liaison between manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field
5+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
Experience with demand planning and inventory optimization tools
Proficiency in data analysis
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
