Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Warehouse Manager to manage our Karachi warehouse operations, with a primary focus on bauxite, minerals, and metals. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper receipt, storage, handling, inventory control, and dispatch of materials while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure smooth handling of bauxite, minerals, and metals.
Supervise the receiving, unloading, stacking, storage, loading, and dispatch of materials.
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock.
Monitor physical inventory and conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
Verify received quantities against purchase orders, delivery documents, weighbridge slips, and other relevant records.
Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, drivers, procurement, accounts, and management regarding deliveries and dispatches.
Ensure proper identification and segregation of different lots, suppliers, grades, and materials.
Monitor warehouse stock levels and immediately report shortages, discrepancies, damages, or other issues to management.
Maintain proper documentation for every receipt, transfer, and dispatch.
Coordinate loading and unloading activities and ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space.
Monitor material handling and minimize loss, wastage, contamination, and damage.
Ensure the warehouse is properly organized, secure, and clean.
Supervise warehouse labor, loaders, helpers, and other operational staff.
Ensure compliance with warehouse safety and security procedures.
Coordinate with management regarding warehouse requirements, equipment, manpower, and maintenance.
Maintain daily/weekly warehouse reports covering stock position, receipts, dispatches, and pending deliveries.
Support management in resolving quantity, quality, documentation, and delivery discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field preferred.
3–5+ years of relevant warehouse management experience; experience in minerals, metals, construction materials, commodities, or similar industries will be preferred.
Practical knowledge of bauxite/mineral handling and bulk material storage will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse documentation, and stock reconciliation.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Strong Excel and reporting skills.
Ability to manage warehouse staff and daily operational activities.
Strong attention to detail, accountability, and organizational skills.
Willingness to work in a physically active warehouse environment and handle operational pressure.
