Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Highland Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia | Bellingham, WA 

Pay: $35.00–$38.00/hour, DOE

Highland Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia is looking for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work closely with our Occupational Therapist to help residents build strength, regain independence, and improve their quality of life through hands-on, everyday activities.

What You'll Do

  • Administer treatment programs with specific goals based on each resident's/patient's capacity and tolerance, under physician direction
  • Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises as outlined in the treatment plan developed by the OT
  • Apply sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring of patient progress
  • Help instruct residents/patients and families in home programs, basic living skills, and use of adaptive equipment
  • Maintain punctual, regular attendance for assigned shifts

What You Bring

Education: 

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program


Licensure/Certification:

  • Current COTA license (required)
  • Current CPR certification (required)

Experience: 

Six months of long-term care experience preferred (new grads welcome to apply)

Qualifications

Education:  

Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.


Licenses/Certification:  

Current COTA license required.

Current CPR certification required.


Experience: 

Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
