Yard Manager

Copart are currently looking for a confident and hands-on Yard Manager to lead our busy Sandy Yard operation, SG19 2UB.

Reporting to the General Manager/Assistant General Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining high Health & Safety standards and ensuring operational targets and SLAs are consistently achieved.

Lead the team. Drive performance. Keep the yard moving.

Salary: £ Competitive | Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

What you’ll do

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing yard team, including recruitment, onboarding and performance management.

• Own day-to-day yard operations, ensuring safety, compliance, service levels and customer expectations are met.

• Monitor performance, manage costs and take action to improve operational and financial results.

• Drive continuous improvement, challenge existing ways of working and embed positive change.

• Build strong relationships across the wider business to support overall facility performance.

What you’ll bring

• Proven people leadership experience in a fast-paced automotive, warehouse or inventory environment.

• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

• A proactive, can-do approach with the ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure.

• Experience working to strict Health & Safety standards.

• Automotive industry experience preferred.

• Forklift/loader experience and IOSH qualification desirable.

• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
