Job Summary:

Directs and executes the Transmission project scoping process to fully define the electrical and physical scope of transmission capital projects to produce the most cost-effective project configuration for TVA and satisfy the local power companies and direct-served customers. This includes (1) identifying contract plans, both in-house and contracted out, (2) managing the scoping workshop schedule, (3) building and maintaining interface and relations with internal TVA stakeholders, contract partners, local power companies, TVA direct-served customers, other government agencies and/or the general public, (4) coordinate and lead on-site review/inspections, project scoping workshops, resolution of problems, and evaluation of cost and schedule impacts for scope changes in project scoping phase, (5) oversee/coordinate development and completion of scoping workshop deliverables for finalized project scopes, schedules, and budget estimates to ensure results meet project requirements for schedule and cost, and (6) lessons learned and performance management. This is a hybrid role and candidates should be in or around Chattanooga, TN.

Requirements and Education:

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, technical field, or equivalent education, training and/or related work experience.
Preferred Requirements and Education:
  • Experience  - Five or more years utility experience, or equivalent functional area work experience with increasing levels of responsibility.  Experience in transmission planning, the transmission project process, or facilitating project scoping workshops is desired, along with experience interfacing with Local Power Companies, TVA direct-served customers, other government agencies, and/or the general public.
